Supermarket giant's bid to open branch in town takes big leap forward

As Sainsbury's looks to open its doors in Lowestoft for the first time this year, it has been granted permission to sell alcohol.

Having submitted a new premises licence application to East Suffolk Council before Christmas, this has been granted to Sainsbury’s Supermarket Ltd at Tower Road, Lowestoft.
