Swimmer William Ellard joined staff, excited pupils and trust leaders at the Lowestoft-area special school on Wednesday as they celebrated the opening of its newly refurbished swimming pool.

The smiles on the faces of the young people said it all as they got a first glimpse of the renovated pool area at the school on Clarkes Lane, Oulton Broad.

The classrooms, corridors and outdoor learning areas of the school have all been renovated since the school became part of Halesworth-based Consortium Trust in September 2023.

After securing £250,000 of investment from Suffolk County Council to improve the facilities,
