Friends and former teammates of Nathan Hook will unite on the football pitch this weekend as his family attend a memorial match dedicated to his "life and legacy".

And on what looks set to be a poignant occasion for all, a double family tragedy will be remembered as funds are raised for worthy causes.

Mr Hook, from Lowestoft, died after his clothing became trapped in a machine at Berry M&H Plastics in Beccles.

The 34-year-old suffered a severe head injury in the industrial incident.

Now, his friends have organised a match in honour of a "beloved son, father, brother and friend whose passion for football touched everyone who knew him."

The event will also pay tribute to his sister Samantha Castledine, who lost her life aged six after being involved in a collision with a lorry on the A12 Yarmouth Road in Lowestoft as she made her way to school
