Daniel Jillings, who is profoundly deaf and a BSL user, has actively campaigned since 2018 for all students to have the opportunity to study BSL as a GCSE.

And he has now shared a moving video message in BSL to his younger self as part of the National Deaf Children’s Society’s Deaf Awareness Week campaign that starts today.
