Community unites to honour 'cherished' former binman and coach driver
Touching tributes were paid to Christopher Meades, as the Pakefield community in Lowestoft rallied to pay their respects to him on what was a fitting final journey.
Mr Meades who was 81 was a much-loved husband of Margaret, a cherished father to Lynn and Hayley, grandfather, and brother of Tony.
As his funeral service and celebration of his life was held at Waveney Memorial Park and Crematorium at Ellough, in Beccles his family arranged for "a special final journey."
He has worked for the former Lowestoft Borough and Waveney District councils for many years, firstly as a refuse collector, then a refuse driver and then a refuse foreman on the bin collection lorries.
