Bouquets, candles and handwritten cards have been placed along the pavement in Catherine Gardens, Thorpe St Andrew, creating a colourful and moving memorial to the much-loved mother-of-four.

Local residents say the number of tributes has increased day by day, with people stopping to leave flowers or stand quietly in reflection.

Many of the messages left alongside the flowers speak of Ms Williams’ kindness and warmth, and the impact she had on those around her.

Friends say Ms Williams, 49, was known for always putting others first and was a familiar, friendly face in the community, regularly volunteering in a local charity shop as well as supporting neighbours and friends whenever she could.

Her estranged husband Raymond Williams, 61, has appeared at Norwich Crown Court charged with murder.

Emergency services were called to Catherine Gardens shortly before 11.45pm on Saturday January 17 following reports a woman had been stabbed in the street. Ms Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.

A plea and trial preparation hearing is due to take place on February 27, with a trial provisionally set for July.

For now, the line of flowers outside Ms Williams’ home continues to grow, standing as a quiet tribute to a "kind and caring" woman many say will never be forgotten.
