Devoted father rode moped into path of lorry after property dispute
Paul David Stocking, 53, feared the security of his family home was at risk after receiving correspondence connected to the civil dispute the day before his death.
His wife, Caroline, said his mental health had deteriorated from October 2025 as the ongoing pressures took their toll.

Mr Stocking, of Wereham, near King’s Lynn, had sought help from his GP and a private counsellor before his death.
Paying tribute at an inquest into his death, Caroline said: “Paul was an amazing husband and dad. He was caring, loving and a real family man.
“He was 6ft 6in with a presence about him and was always doing something with us. He loved walking, biking and keeping fit. He had a gentle smile.”
The couple had been together for 26 years and would have celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary this month.
Fitness instructor Caroline told the inquest that the email received had caused her husband considerable distress.
His mother, Janet Stocking, said the dispute had become “toxic” and left her son distraught and beside himself with worry.
