People who live near the River Wensum are calling on Norwich City Council to do more to preserve Boom Towers that sit on either side of the riverbank by Carrow bridge.

The medieval structures are part of the city walls and were likely built between 1333 and 1343 to control access to the city via the river.

The western tower, barely visible from the riverbank is covered and ivy and overgrown foliage.

Some are concerned the vegetation could be damaging the structure.
