Burglars remain at large after spate of break-ins near city

The incidents all occurred in Old Catton, with two happening on Proctor Road.

One was between 2pm on Sunday, January 25 and 9am on Friday, January 30, where a patio door was smashed to gain entry.

The intruders did not appear to steal any items.

The other incident happened between 11.30am and 7.30pm on Tuesday, January 27, when an unknown person forced entry into the property through the back door and stole jewellery.

The third incident happened at Edgefield Close between 5pm on Monday, January 26, and 1pm on Wednesday, January 28, where entry was also gained through a back door.

No items have been reported stolen.

Police are trying to establish whether these incidents are linked, but it is believed they all may have occurred on January 27.

A police spokeswoman has said their enquiries are ongoing.
