Reopening date of pub that closed last summer still not confirmed
The White Horse pub in Cromer closed in July, and Stonegate, which owns the venue, revealed it would be reopening in February of this year.
A spokeswoman for the company said in January that the pub in West Street would be welcoming back customers in the "next week or two," following refurbishment works by the tenants.
However, there was no sign of the pub reopening, with locals reporting that the windows had been boarded up last month.
When questioned about the reopening, a spokeswoman for Stonegate said: "We are currently recruiting for a new publican and hope to get the pub open to the public again soon."
Previous tenants include the owners of the nearby Masala Twist restaurant, Jay and Ali Kelly, who took on the pub in February 2024 but left at the end of the same year.
Annie Kemp was the landlady of the pub for 18 years, who said she had no choice but to leave it behind due to the rent increase by Stonegate.
