Man arrested after taser deployed during police chase through gardens
At around 10:30am on Monday officers went to a house in Woollaston Road to arrest a wanted man.
The 31-year-old man ran from police through private gardens and climbed over a garden shed.
He was then detained a short time later in Katwijk Way.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk Constabulary said: "During the course of the incident, PAVA spray was discharged and a taser was deployed to resolve the situation effectively and safely."
The man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of theft, assault on a police officer, possession of Class A drugs and criminal damage.
He was taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has been released on bail until June 8.
