Street drinking ban moves step closer in Norfolk town
Breckland Council’s cabinet voted unanimously to begin a six-week consultation on introducing a public spaces protection order (PSPO) in Dereham.
The legal measure, established under the 2014 Crime and Policing Act, would allow the council to restrict activities such as public drinking.
It could also be extended to cover drug use, begging, rough sleeping and public urination.
