Plans for Norfolk town's first Lidl face more hurdles as wait for decision goes on

The discount retailer wants to build a 1,947 sqm supermarket in Swaffham, opposite the town's existing Tesco on Castle Acre Road.

The single-storey store would sit on a 2.29-acre site at the junction of Castle Acre Road and Brocks Road, with 120 car parking spaces including six disabled bays and 12 EV chargers.

It would also include an in-store bakery, customer toilets, warehouse space, staff welfare facilities and a cash office.

The closest Lidl stores to Swaffham are currently in Watton and Dereham.
