Norfolk Constabulary is continuing enquiries into the suspected hit-and-run after Taila Taylor, a Conservative Breckland councillor and former Attleborough town councillor, was allegedly struck by a car driven in an alleyway between two rival pubs.

Joe Davies, 79, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, failing to stop at the scene of a collision and a public order offence on August 27.

He has now been rebailed until November 27 on all three offences while inquiries continue. He denies any wrongdoing.

After the incident, Ms Taylor went to hospital for checks and later went home. She has declined to comment while........
