Plans have been revealed for three padel courts at David Lloyd Norwich, one of which will be covered.
If approved by Broadland District Council, the trio of courts will be installed on two existing tennis courts at the former Norwich Sports Village site on Drayton High Road.
Agents on behalf of the health club said in the planning papers: "There are also currently 107 padel courts at 52 clubs – a number that is set to grow substantially over the coming years.
"David Lloyd is at the forefront of this tennis revolution in the UK and have incorporated, or are in the process of incorporating, padel tennis into more than 50 locations across their portfolio, and, given its popularity, is now including padel tennis across all of its new clubs."
Although the plans have not yet been decided, one neighbour has concerns about the impact the noise from people playing the sport will have.
