North Norfolk B&B wins competition on hit TV show

Holly Lodge, Thursford, near Fakenham, has won best B&B in the latest series of Channel 4’s Four in a Bed.

Barbara Cushing and Elizabeth Goode were front and centre as hosts of Holly Lodge, embarking on a week of camaraderie, critique, glass blowing and vintage steam engines.

Each episode brought highs and lows, leading to the overall question, would they stay again?

Holly Lodge’s episode was aired on Wednesday and the other competitors all gave huge praises and high scores.

All guests of their guests answered the important question and agreed they would stay again.

Barbara said: “What an amazing achievement to be crowned winners of the ever-popular Four in a Bed.

"We do feel we are truly unique, and we’re so grateful the other competitors felt the same.

"This award goes out to the whole team who continue to make Holly Lodge a five-star destination.”

Elizabeth who hosted alongside Barbara said: “What an unforgettable experience Four in a Bed was.

"It’s been a great privilege to show our little corner of Norfolk and invite new customers into the world of Holly Lodge and Thursford.

"It was amazing from start to finish.”

Holly Lodge has six bedrooms, a Shepherd’s Hut, and is located within 5-minutes of the famous Thursford Collection, home to the popular Christmas Spectacular.

Barbara concludes. “To win Four in a Bed is a real jewel in the crown for our little secret hideaway in Thursford.

"Elizabeth has been a great colleague in this experience, and I couldn’t have done this without her. We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Four in a Bed winner, Holly Lodge, Thursford soon.”
