It comes after a 16-year-old boy and his friend were reportedly attacked by two teenagers in Wisbech Park, Lynn Road, on August 20.

Alice Smith*, whose name we have changed to protect her identity, claimed one attacker "pinned down" her son before stabbing him in the leg.

She received a panicked phone call from her son, *Mark, who said he feared "he was never going to see me again."

Ms Smith said: "They were sat in the park before two boys came running through at them.
