Mystery donor makes £10,000 gift to family of labourer who died at building site
Brian Rodgers, 42, died at the Furlong Heath housing development in Salhouse Road on Tuesday, February 17.
An inquest was opened into his death at Norfolk Coroner’s Court today, where area coroner Johanna Thompson confirmed the labourer’s provisional medical cause of death was from "traumatic chest injuries."

Following his death, Mr Rodgers' loved ones paid tribute and described how they were "truly heartbroken".
"Brian was a wonderful fiancé, father and brother, and our home and lives feel empty without him," they said.
"It is clear from the overwhelming response we have had from family, friends, work colleagues, neighbours and acquaintances that he was greatly loved and respected by all of those he came into contact with.
"He brought love, laughter, care, support, comfort and joy to all of us and enriched our lives beyond measure.
"He will be greatly missed and never forgotten."

Mr Rodgers' sister also launched a GoFundMe page in his memory, which explains how he grew up on the west coast of Scotland but had lived in Norwich for almost 20 years.
Yesterday, the fundraiser sat at just over £2,600 of its £5,000 target, but overnight an anonymous person donated £10,000, leaving the fundraiser at almost £15,000.
Police and inspectors from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are still investigating the circumstances that led to his death,
A spokesman for Tilia Homes, which manages the site, previously confirmed he had been working for a contractor.
The coroner has requested input from investigating police officers, Mr Rogers' GP and the HSE and his family has also been invited to provide a pen portrait.
A date for a full inquest to determine the official cause of death has not yet been confirmed but a further review will take place at the court in July.
