So, Robin Hunter-Clarke, deputy leader of Reform-led Norfolk County Council, has written to Mr Burnham urging him to take action so voters can go to the polls to pick a Norfolk and Suffolk mayor next year.
The inaugural election to that role was supposed to take place this May, but the government postponed the election until 2028.
