Norfolk MP confirms he will fight to keep his seat at next general election
Labour's Terry Jermy has announced that he will fight to retain his South West Norfolk constituency when the nation next goes to the polls - which has to be before August 2029.
Mr Jermy has been the MP for the constituency, which includes the towns of Thetford, Swaffham and Downham Market, since 2024, when he defeated Ms Truss.
He won 11,847 votes, 630 more than Conservative Ms Truss, who had held the seat since 2010.
Mr Jermy is a former leader of the Labour group at Breckland District Council and was also a Norfolk county councillor before he entered Westminster........
