Green light for recycling site operating without correct planning permission
Norfolk County Council's planning committee has granted retrospective planning permission for Stowmarket Skips' aggregate recycling facility on Thetford's Burrell Way Trade Park.
The company, which takes construction and demolition waste and cleans it to produce aggregates for the building industry, received planning permission in 2023 to process up to 100,000 tonnes of waste.
The plant started operating, but the development was not done in line with the permission which had been granted.
That included a the plant where aggregate is washed and graded being constructed in a different part of the site to originally approved.
