Countryfile star will debut 'most important event he has ever done' in Norwich
"The Mend of the World: An Evening with Tom Heap" will be staged at Norwich Arts Centre on March 11.
The broadcaster and writer, also known for presenting Radio 4’s Rare Earth, and Sky News’ The Climate Show, has dedicated his career to examining the environmental issues facing our world.
But he said his latest venture is the "most important single event he has ever done" - with the need to regain lost momentum in the battle against climate change and nature loss.
Mr Heap said Norfolk was the perfect place to discuss these issues in his pilot show, which he hopes could become a launchpad for a wider tour.
"As a place to talk about these issues, it couldn’t be better," he said.
"First of all, you have got a concerned environmental community, certainly in the Norwich area. You have quite clearly got a very important food growing area, and a very important natural area with everything from the Broads to the North Norfolk coast, and a lot of solutions and academic thoughts in places like the UEA and John Innes Centre - people who are engaged in the scientific and technical solutions to this problem."
The region is also at the centre of the renewable energy transition, with offshore wind energy infrastructure........
