Villagers demanding answers over days-long water shortage during heatwave
Dozens of residents in Sedgeford, in west Norfolk, experienced loss of supply or low water pressure during the late May heatwave, with some left without water for up to four days.
Sedgeford Parish Council has now written a formal letter to Anglian Water’s chief executive Mark Thurston demanding a "direct and substantive response" to questions over the incident.
It outlines the council’s concerns about the company’s handling of the outage, and highlights long-standing problems with water pressure in the village.
