West Norfolk councillors have been recommended to approve proposals for the "major development" of 26 new homes on land off Railway Road at Downham Market.

It comes despite more than 100 objections from locals on the council's planning portal, with many citing fears over the neighbouring Willows Nature Reserve.

One said it would "permanently demolish the beloved, magical environment of an escape to nature that the reserve currently provides" and leave it feeling "like any........
