Retired banker Nigel Ward, 71 from West Winch, near King's Lynn, lost his left limb three years ago after he suffered blood clots whilst on a cruise with his wife Gill.

He was given a Blue Badge by Norfolk County Council at the time, but when he re-applied after it expired, he was refused a replacement because of insufficient medical evidence.

"What they're questioning is the extent of my mobility and how can I prove I need a new badge," he said.
