West Norfolk Council has given the nod to proposals to redevelop the site at the corner of Howdale Road and Church Road, near the centre of Downham Market.

It comes despite objections from Downham Town Council and neighbours, who criticised the scheme because it did not include parking spaces for residents' cars.

"We have such trouble with parking down the Howdale Road, particularly on bin day," one person living on Howdale Road posted on the council's planning........
