AHR Walpole has applied for planning permission to site more than 100 containers to house batteries on land at Walpole St Andrew, near King's Lynn.

It also wants to build a substation, switchrooms and water storage tanks, along with a security fence around the site off Follens Road.

An underground cable would connect the facility to the National Grid at the Walpole Substation, just over a mile to the south of the site.
