Anna Mudeka has been accused by council officials of allowing her Waxham Summer Camp events to "overrun" and "overspill onto the nearby beach".

The officers also raised concerns about “alcohol intoxication and the potential for illicit drug use” at the festivals.

She has been running the events - which feature reggae, jungle and R&B music - at Poplar Farm, which she bought in 2021 and where she runs a summer campsite close to Waxham dunes.

Ms Mudeka, who is a musician herself, applied to North Norfolk District Council to host two more events there this summer.

The first, Dance Music Day, is scheduled for August 8 and is due to feature electronic dance music event with laser shows.

The other, World Music Day, on August 29, features folk, ska and other genres.

The plans sparked to a bitter row at a meeting this week after council officials raised their concerns and she disputed their allegations, denying previous events had descended into unofficial beach raves.

Nathan Lawn, an environmental protection officer who objected to her application, said concerns have been raised about her previous music events involving “alcohol intoxication and the potential for illicit drug use”.
