Council to fork out £137,000 on creating three new roles for 'understaffed team'
An influx in people registering new taxis and businesses seeking premise licenses has meant Broadland District Council staff are having to take on extra administrative work.
Officials at the authority, which will cease to exist in two years time, have said a "sustained and increased demand" on its licensing teams means it needs to make new hires.
Employees say the team is "understaffed with unrealistic workloads".
