Council staff upset by ban on Pride Progress flag says Tory leader
Kay Mason Billig, who was Conservative leader of the administration between 2023 and 2026, said employees at the authority are still upset by Reform’s decision to no longer fly the banner.
The party brought in a new policy after taking control of the council in May to no longer fly the Pride Progress emblem or the Ukraine flag above its headquarters.
Ms Mason Billig - who is also a South Norfolk councillor - made the remarks at a South Norfolk District Council meeting, where she backed a motion to fly the flag from its HQ on the Broadland Business Park.
