Tom Nickalls and Alex Courage
Freeport East, which encompasses the Port of Felixstowe, Harwich International Port and Gateway 14 near Stowmarket, has made two new appointments.
Tom Nickalls has been appointed as head of strategic partnerships to engage with the government on its plans for Industrial Strategy Zones, which includes freeports, and build stronger ties between the US North East and East of England.
He joined Freeport East after approximately 10 years in government, including time with the Home Office, British Embassy in Paris and British Consulate General in Boston.
Alex Courage has joined as head of international partnerships, with a brief to drive inward investment and help businesses with exports, while engaging with local partners, central government and foreign embassies.
Alex previously worked for the Department for Business and Trade, where she had various roles including head of Indo-Pacific........
