The police had been intensely investigating in Thetford as part of Operation Silent, which led to them pulling over a Sprinter van on the A11 at Thetford being driven by Brusli Leka, 28.

Leka told the police he was a gardener in Norfolk but didn’t know where he was driving to. He said his passenger, Ronaldo Lulashi, 26, was a Spanish national and didn’t speak English, providing a false name.

The police searched the van, but could not find any gardening equipment – although they did note a strong smell of cannabis.

They arrested Leka and Lulashi and took their mobile phones – both of which had videos showing the production of cannabis.
