Mayor Zohran Mamdani said on Tuesday that he is still in favor of abolishing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, reiterating a position he voiced on the campaign trail amid a growing nationwide push to rein in the agency.

During his appearance on ABC’s The View, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin asked Mamdani for his stance on the issue as more prominent Democrats and the American public have begun to voice support for abolishing the agency at the vanguard of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown. The mayor, a long-standing critic of the agency and its tactics, said everyone can now see why it needs to go.
