Too many Americans are having their vacations ruined when they stumble into the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History and are confronted with information like “the Civil Rights Movement happened” and “Michelle Obama was First Lady.” Or at least, that’s what President Trump thinks. So his administration is planning to protect unsuspecting Americans from being exposed to the Smithsonian’s fact-based approach to history by installing warning signs outside the Washington, D.C., museum.

Back in July, President Trump signed an executive order titled “Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History.” Citing a 162-page report on the Smithsonian put out by the Trump White House, the EO accused the museum’s leaders of trying to advance an inaccurate woke agenda:

The Report demonstrates that the Smithsonian leadership does not present American history as a shared national inheritance to be taught and celebrated, but instead views American history as a “prime tool” to advance ideas of social........
