Council forced to install CCTV after fly tipping surge 'people should pay hefty fines'
CoventryLive readers are sceptical that a plan to install CCTV cameras in Coventry, following a series of fly-tipping incidents in Allesley Green, will be effective. Items including electrical goods, garden pots, used paint tubs, and broken cabinets have been dumped near Allesley Park in recent weeks.
Coventry City Council believes the rubbish could be linked to builders' waste or an illegally dumped office clearance. Councillor Peter Male condemned the recent spate of fly-tipping, calling it "disgraceful."
