But there’s a hidden cost to these indulgences—one that can quietly erode your financial health over time. It’s called lifestyle creep, and it affects more people than you might think.

Lifestyle creep refers to the gradual increase in your spending as your income rises. Instead of using additional earnings to pay off debt, boost savings or invest for the future, many people increase their standard of living.
