The Tools We Give the Enemy

Our government is a working democratic republic, but with one important difference: the protection of the minority.

While the House of Representatives is based on the population of each state, the Senate gives every state an equal voice.

We are an exceptional nation, rich in natural resources, particularly timber, technology, coal, natural gas, oil, and fertile agriculture—290,000 sq. miles of it. As a result, 36 states have enacted laws that restrict foreign adversaries, such as Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea, from owning such land. We have 95,000 miles of coastline and excellent inland waterways for transporting goods.

While it doesn't make us perfect, it does establish us as the benchmark for every other nation.

The freedoms we enjoy, such as freedom of speech (in spite of Democrat fears), the right to defend ourselves from the criminal or an intolerable government gone rogue, the pursuit of our dreams, and the right to reject government interference in our lives, make us a target for every nation whose governments deny such freedoms in order to maintain their own power.

This structure positions us as adversaries to many other countries. Not so much because of who we are, but because of what we are. Those who would harm us are blinded by our freedoms, which they neither share nor understand.
