Canadian employers lacking systems to support disability inclusion: report
Nearly half (49 per cent) of Canadian employers don’t actively promote workplace accommodations or consistently provide them, according to a new report by the Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work.
It found 64 per cent of employers lack a formal process to identify and remove barriers for employees with disabilities, while 70 per cent haven’t reviewed accessibility across the full employment lifecycle.
