Misti Staley of Helena-West Helena has always loved to play games, but she didn't take up poker until recently. It's paid off in a big way, but not because she's crushing opponents and raking in mounds of chips at the table like some Vegas card sharp.

Last month Misti, who co-founded the med-tech company FreeArm with her husband, Will Staley, received a $100,000 Power Play grant from Poker Power, a nonprofit that helps entrepreneurs build their business by using lessons learned from poker and IFW by Honeycomb Credit, which helps women in business access capital.
