VICTORIA — The latest candidate to seek the B.C. Conservative leadership is Caroline Elliott, the go-between for the B.C. United party in the negotiations that led to that party abandoning the field before the last election.

Elliott, a United candidate, represented United leader Kevin Falcon (her brother-in-law) in the August 2024 talks with the surging B.C. Conservatives.
B.C. United then shut itself down while Falcon, Elliot and most of its other candidates withdrew, except for the handful able to secure nominations as Conservatives.

Elliott is scheduled to make her candidacy for the Conservative leadership official later this week.
However, she was scooped Monday by her own campaign manager, Kory Teneycke. The well-connected federal Conservative announced on the Hotel Pacifico podcast that he was coming to B.C. to run her campaign.
