If he's telling the truth, McConnell should be able to return to work

Just two weeks away from the U.S. Senate coming back into session after more than a month of recess, Mitch McConnell may be facing a day of reckoning.

His office has continued to downplay his absence from public life after the June 14 incident that led to his hospitalization in Washington, DC, and subsequent weeks of physical therapy, which his office insists is necessary only for him to regain strength, so he doesn’t fall again.

His absence has led him to miss votes on a variety of issues including the appointment of President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer as the U.S. attorney general and a war powers resolution, but honestly, he’s represented many of us in Kentucky better over the past two months than he has in the past four decades.
