With ICE agents being dispatched to airports to fill in the vacancies created by TSA agents calling in or quitting, as a result of the Democrats' refusal to fund the agency, we knew horror stories would emerge. We also knew the press would contort the facts to make things appear dire.

Over the weekend, there was an ICE detention made at San Francisco International, and the reframing has been on full display. One example comes from Heather Knight, who declares that the woman taken into custody had no criminal record. The truth is in what was omitted in her post on the matter.

To start, this took place on Sunday, before ICE was installed at airports. This means that the immigration officers had been called in for the matter, suggesting there was a valid reason. Ms. Knight knew of this reason, as she touts that the Times had documents regarding the arrest, which would mean she knew this female detained had a standing deportation order from seven years ago.
