Low Octane Gas Lighting – MS NOW

After all of this time, we are still doing this…???

After all of this time, we are still doing this…???

It used to be a regular feature in the press, so much so that it devolved into a punchline. Anytime a dire (in the opinion of the press) news item on immigration would come up, some would-be cerebral pundit or reporter would reference the placard at the base of the Statue of Liberty as a means of disputing the harsh immigration stance being witnessed. After a time, the wizards in the press dropped this reference, as they learned that, as they felt like they had delivered a striking blow, it instead became a rake-stepping dose of mockery for them.

With that reality established, it is borderline remarkable to see Nicolle Wallace lapsing into this trope, as she tries to insist that a poem is actually our political policy.
