Prose & Contradiction – CNN

There was much excitement in the press when news of what is at least a temporary ceasefire was announced in Iran. The agreement came down hours before President Trump’s escalation deadline, but the media excitement was not over an end to hostilities. No, they were giddy that they could slam Trump as backing down and calling him weak. Then CNN took it a step further.
Citing Iranian officials, the network claimed that a 10-point demand from that nation was agreed upon by the president. This was farcical, as it declared Iran would maintain its nuclear enrichment program (something our press told us they did not possess), shut down all bases in the region (uh, sure), and allow them to control the Strait of Hormuz (with what navy???).
Any rational person would see this list and laugh. Trump forcefully shot this prospect down, and the White House reiterated we would be going in to seize control of their nuclear program – you know, the primary reason we went into this country in the first place.
CNN, as a result, delivered all manner of interpretation today about what this all meant. First, Iran forced this agreement on Trump, then Trump agreed to something else entirely, even saying there may not be a ceasefire since nothing is written on paper.
Well, keep at it, gang; you are sure to get things correct at some point…
Man, @CNN is just all over the map today on the ceasefire news. Instead of getting the facts straight, it seems they will just cover every single angle and eventually find one position is correct. pic.twitter.com/q56h6M0V4L— Brad Slager: CNN Lifetime Subscriber (@MartiniShark) April 8, 2026
