Covid came out of a Chinese laboratory? Preposterous! The Covid vaccines are not fully effective and can cause serious illness. Nonsense! Money sent to Ukraine is disappearing. Fever-dream! Joe Biden got rich on his name and Nancy Pelosi became fabulously wealthy through insider trading? You’re jealous! And on and on. We were given the impression that everything was just fine in Washington. Until it wasn’t.

Donald Trump has not been in the White House long enough to remove all of the plastic covers from the furniture. Still, he has been there long enough for the American people to learn how terrible, awful, and disgusting the state of affairs there has been.
