Can't Barack Obama Learn a New Hobby?
The former president seems awfully busy jet-setting around the world.
Most American presidents retire to a quieter life away from the responsibilities and challenges of leading the free world. While they generally do not slink back into anonymity, they rarely reach the news as they find new endeavors and have more time for family and friends. Chopping wood, biking, running — former presidents keep busy in many areas other than politics. Sure, Jimmy Carter could not help himself from going to North Korea as a private citizen or acting as an election observer when the Palestinians last had elections, but for the most part, presidents leave and both the country and their parties are happy to have them gone.
The exception obviously is Barack Obama. With two unmarried daughters and a wife who seems as pleasant as poison ivy, the former president does not yet have grandchildren to take to the park or a quiet home life that is fulfilling. Obama has multiple houses and some Netflix work. But what he appears most busy doing is remaining or returning to politics. He has been filmed several times near 10 Downing Street and most recently with my fellow classmate Mark Carney, who currently runs Canada before he returns to Europe for another gig there. Why is the former president so busy meeting with current world leaders? What’s his plan?
Barack Obama plans to rejigger the United States to be like Europe—socialist, stagnant and under complete governmental control. Not everybody from his administration was present with Joe Biden, but almost everybody in Biden’s White House was an Obama alum. Many have called the Biden presidency Barack Obama’s third term, and with the clear mental and physical decline of Joe Biden, such a claim does not seem unreasonable. The goal has always been governmental control and their ultimate fantasy is a world government, in which local governments are subservient to the all-knowing, all-powerful central........
