Clifford Hay was reappointed Schoharie County Board of Elections Democratic Commissioner in late December in a controversial vote.

There were few surprises in a recent state Supreme Court ruling in which Judge James Ferreira told the Schoharie County Board of Supervisors that they must follow the law. Well, of course they have to. Duh.

What's surprising is that board members hadn't seemed to realize that — and still may not.

This particular bout of shenaniganry began in December, when the GOP-controlled board decided to toss aside legalities, the state constitution and bipartisan civility by ignoring the Schoharie........
