New York is facing a fiscal crisis. With the federal government threatening to cut billions in aid and key state tax provisions set to expire, we are at a turning point. Gov. Kathy Hochul and the Legislature must decide: Will they stand with working families or continue allowing the ultra-wealthy and large corporations — people like us — to benefit from an unjust system?

As millionaires, we firmly believe we should pay more in taxes. We have thrived in New York, a state that has provided us with opportunities, resources and a robust economy that helped build our wealth. But prosperity should not mean exemption from responsibility.
