Hey, B.C. Ferries, have you completely lost your corporate mind!?!

Your “Foot passenger drop-off area” sign at the Swartz Bay terminal clearly depicts people who HAVE NO FEET! What the hell is going on?!?

Haha, I’m not really angry, B.C. Ferries! We all love you and find absolutely nothing to criticize about the cost, schedule and general experience travelling on your fleet, such as the amount of pee sloshing around the washroom floors, or is it decks? We love your nautical terms! Nope, nothing to complain about.

Except, maybe, for passengers who leave their car alarms on during the sailing. I’m not saying you should keel haul them, or make them walk the plank, or whatever is currently best practice in maritime punishment, but I’m also not, not saying you should do it.

But back to the guy with no feet on your foot passenger signs: I’m not mad, I’m just following standard YouTube practice by employing negative language, fear-based framing and aggressive titles to draw attention and get my way.

It’s very popular! Every successful YouTube video on any subject imaginable now screams: “YOU’RE DOING IT WRONG!” in order to get “likes” and “subscribes,” which means........
