WE’RE MORE THAN halfway through November, and you’ll have noticed the ads on the telly and the shops getting their seasonal stock in as we face into that time of year again: Christmas.

The festive season is known to be a time for goodwill and spending time with loved ones. But it can also be a time of financial stress for many.

It’s easy to feel pressured to spend more on presents in the run-up to 25 December, and with the cost of energy and food prices still climbing, a lot of people will already be worrying about money.
